A rescue team employee lost his life while taking part in a rescue operation, following floods involving the Spanish region of Andalusia as a result of torrential rains, local authorities announced today.
The employee had disappeared since yesterday, when his truck was turned upside down on a flooded road. His body was found this morning by colleagues.
Spanish television footage shows homes, roads, and flooded bridges in the province of Malaga.
Authorities have issued red alert, the highest alert level for the area, Atsh watches.
At least nine people died, including two Britons, while some resulted in extinction, following the major floods that hit Majorca on September 9th, the main island frequented by tourists at the Balneare Archipelago.
