I request from all of you, together wherever you see, wherever you hear violence being used, to report to the Kosovo Police, so that together with everyone's contribution, although we are all bound to the law, but also as members of this society to stop and minimize the violence of the family”, Qalaj has called on.
On the other hand, representative from O The SEU, Wolfgang Nikolaus, has declared domestic violence to be a global phenomenon, but mostly women suffer and Kosovo is no exception.
Nikolaus has called domestic violence “Terrible crime”, which made societies weaker and more monstrous.
Nikolaus has not left out the insufficientness of Kosovo institutions to enforce society's poor laws and engagement to fight this phenomenon.
“So far, public institutions in Kosovo have not been enough to effectively translate these laws into practice. Also, domestic violence is related to a poor social commitment to reporting cases of violence to institutions of order. Seeing this problem, domestic violence has become a priority of the O mission. The SEU in Kosovo” has highlighted Nikolaus.
The campaign will continue in other Kosovo cities and last several days.
