The Public Administration Commission has in principle examined the draft law on changing and completing the law on official holidays in Kosovo.
The Serbian list has demanded that an official festival law introduce June 28th, which is known as Vidovdan's holiday, broadcast csp.
However, this has been rejected by members of the Commission. MP Milaim Zeka has called this request insulting to Albanians.
I have nothing against Serbian holidays. We just didn't have a synet party. VV and the Serbian List do not accept the state of Kosovo. It is very provocative and very insulting for Albanians living in Kosovo when your fellow citizens come to Kosovo with pictures of Milosevic. You've killed a large number of citizens even a few of us. We didn't have much more of a sausage than we had done to”, he said.
VVD MP Adem Mikulovci has responded to Zeka, saying it is not decent to compare with the Serbian List.
The “is by no means graceful to compare Vetevendosje with the Serbian List. I don't vote alive”, he said.
Milaim Zeka, however, said he has not compared it, but has said even the VV does not respect Kosovo's symbols.
“The VV does not respect Kosovo's anthem, if you have received that apology”, he said.
Even AAK deputy Rasim Selmanaj has rejected the June 28th introduction as an official holiday.
No need to feel bad. We're opposing June 28th for sparking debate. This debate is normal. I personally did not support June 28th to be a” party, he said. In the end, this bill was submitted for the recommendation hearing to remove the 28 June festival.
