“Such irresponsible behaviour of Kosovo authorities could bring new bloodshed to Kosovo and destabilise the Balkan region in general”, Zakharova said in a comment published on the Russian ministry's website.
Pristina's ongoing “efforts to place control over Serb-populated areas through force, foster interethnic tensions, make the international community's several-year efforts towards a peaceful resolution” meaningless, Zakharova said, broadcast TASS.
Kosovo Special Forces ROSU has gone to the north on Saturday, following Kosovo President Hashim Thaci, who has visited the Brnjak border crossing and Weyman Lake.
While Thaci himself has said that his visit there was “rative” and “normal heads”, authorities in Belgrade have interpreted it as “attack” on the Serb community.
“Armed Albanians in northern Kosovo, under the agreements we have reached, can appear only with the fulfillment of two conditions: with NATO's approval and with full consent from the local Serb community”, Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, has said, to add that the second “has been fully violated”.
Thaci, at a news conference Sunday evening, said Kosovo citizens should not receive permission from anyone for visits to Kosovo.
