Nearly 300 SUV Subaru units, produced in July 2018, will be destroyed and sold for old iron, following a robot error during the vehicle pole welding, which is important for keeping the structure safe.

Subaru in May began producing a new three-sided SUV, but the Japanese producer faced problems from the beginning.

The National Agency for Traffic Safety (NHTSA) announced that it is critical points in the centre, at the B pillars of vehicles respectively.

It has been claimed that in the case of traffic accidents due to this error, the structure of the vehicle could be endangered, which could lead to passenger damage.

The problem was found in 293 vehicles produced between July 13th and July 21st. Subaru has announced that all these vehicles will be destroyed.

From this number, only nine cars were sent to consumers before error was discovered, while the rest were still unsold. Subaru contacted the owners of the problem tools as soon as he discovered the problem, giving no more details.
