Facebook has been hit with a huge fine, for failing to protect user privacy.

Britain's Intelligence Commissioner's office will force the company to pay 500,000 pounds, which allowed people to steal people's personal data.

“Facebook failed to protect the privacy of its users before, during and after the illegal processing of this data”, Elizabeth Denham, the information commissioner, said.

A large and expert company like this would have to do better”, she said.
