PDK MP Evgen Thaci has come out against applying additions for children proposed by the AAK.
President Thaci's brother's daughter has called this initiative part of the election campaign. According to her, by 10 euros, poverty cannot be tamed and fertility does not increase.
This is a full post:
With 10 euros a month, poverty is not tamed, childbearing does not increase and Kosovo electorate is not deceived.
The reference cannot be tamed with ironicly poor social schemes. Kosovo's budget cannot bear the burden of any politician who remembers any populist idea that would bring votes to the next election, not taking responsibility for its implementation. The reference could ease the opening of new jobs, private sector development and promotion of small and medium enterprises, creating better external investment conditions, educational systems that respond to labour market needs, etc.
The fertility arena would have to be treated a little more serious and creatively. New mothers need to be protected and encouraged to be educated and to work, not to pay the price of emancipation by not wanting to raise more children; they are protected when the labour law applies to the entire, guaranteeing no discrimination of any kind against women, when the number of public gardens is sufficient to accommodate all the children who need them, when the government comes up with fiscal and credit policies convenient for new couples and families... so a state strategy well thought of, for a long-term outcome.
At the same time, our electorate deserves more respect than that, because it's conscious and values politicians out of sight, who have vision for the country and the citizens, and it can't be satisfied with our ad hoc policies that don't lead anywhere” writes Evgeny Thaci on Facebook.
