The two athletes will continue to be suspended indefinitely until the end of the investigation, while the Commission has decided to grant the winner of this duel, Russian Nurmagomedov, half the reward the UFC has approved. So Khab is gonna make $1 million.
The rest of the reward, another $1m, will be held “hostage” until the end of the investigation. The final decision on this incident will be made in December, when the Nevada Sport Commission panel meets again.
The two athletes -- protagonists of an incident after the duel they held in the cage -- have been suspended indefinitely since October 15th, but that suspension will now continue to be in force at least until December.
I understand the sport Commission's decision in Nevada, which seeks to make additional investigations and I am convinced that my client” will benefit from this situation, said Audie Attar, McGregor's lawyer.
Duel among the two athletes, valid for the world championship title in light weight, was won by Russian Khabb Nurmagomedov, who beat “submission” in the fourth round, standing champion and simultaneously invincible in the cage.
