It is also the director of culture in Pristina's municipality, Yll Rugova, who has distributed such an image, saying the library's object in question will be isolated with the facade. But Rugova has further clarified that everything has been a joke with the idea of promoting discussion and awareness with cultural heritage buildings.
This is Rugova's clarification about his joke:
The following “is a joke, made with the idea of promoting further discussion and awareness about cultural heritage buildings. We aspire to be part of U NESTO and as such, we have to protect heritage values, whether from Ottoman, veracular, modernist or any other. A tangible and invulnerable heritage.
The city is built on a historical scale, not just the geographic one.
The increasingly frequent discussions on architecture and heritage are a sign of a healthy society, and in my opinion, if handled properly, we will have positive results for the future of our cities and our urban development”.
