The Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs has again called Greece's ambassador to Tirana, Eleni Surani, on the last events in Athens today.
Greece's “Ambassador to Albania Eleni Surani was called today to the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs about the events occurring in Greece, starting from the bomb alarm near our embassy in Athens, the burning of Albanian businesses, protests in front of our embassy and consulate, and the burning of the national flag”, the report said.
MEPJ suggests that the ambassador was asked to distance and, at the same time, condemnation by Greek authorities to these serious acts that violate the climate of friendly relations between neighbours.
MEPJ also underlined the need for Greek authorities to take appropriate measures to ensure the life and property of Albanian citizens living in Greece.
