Kosovo Security Force Minister Rrustem Berisha has today met members of the Kosovo Security Force from the ranks of the Serb community, which “has guaranteed that KSF is the institution of all who live in Kosovo and is the multiethnic institution”.
According to a report by the MSF, Berisha today has visited the KSF Civil Protection Regiment at the “Evropians in Pomozotti, where he was hosted by RC Commander Colonel Shaip Haziri with accomplices.
Berisha has subsequently held an open meeting with KSF members from the ranks of communities, particularly the Serb one serving in some of the Brigade's Operational Support units.
“The KSF has proved to be a multiethnic institution and that with its capacities in service to all citizens of the Republic of Kosovo, regardless of ethnic, gender, religious and racial affiliation”, Berisha has said, later praising these members “who, despite the different political pressures, are also aware of the international factor, determined to serve in the KSF, in the best of citizens living here<3>.
Berisha has expressed regret over some members of the Serb community, who have served and have been demobilised.
I feel good that none of the members who have filed a request for remalisation have had complaints concerning treatment, labour or interhuman and interethnic relations in the KSF. In this respect, I am delighted that every day there are requests from the young people of this community to be recruited to KSF”, he has added.
At the meeting, Serbian KSF members talked about issues of life, work and service in the KSF, mainly travel, training issues, advancements, and others related to daily work at the institution.
The “V words were made that all discotators expressed readiness for service at the KSF, and that they did not question any dilemma, except that together with other members to develop and work in the best interests of the KSF as an institution that serves all citizens of the state of Kosovo”, is said at the end of the announcement.
