Kosovo has met all criteria and we expect the European Council to complete the process over the coming weeks and months. The purpose of his visit is to get acquainted with the processes Kosovo is going through”, Hoxhaj said.
While, David McAllister said there is after a profound discussion on some political issues related to Kosovo.
It is now vital to offer liberalisation without delay. Liberalism will improve Kosovo's stability. The European Parliament has voted in favour and are now member states that decide. France and Germany have some worries, but we have to move forward, I must stress that it has been difficult for Kosovo to meet the conditions, such as demarcation of the border with Montenegro. The Kosovo government must continue clarification, make it clear that visa liberalisation should be accompanied by fighting crime and corruption”, he said.
