Of course, not to play on your own but in another aspect of the magic game, which keeps it busy hour and hour. In an interview with the French daily “La Provence”, former Albanian captain (92 matches and 1 goal with national redness), has discovered a little more about his projects, still in the world of football, without detail:

I'm going to start a career as leader of a club to create experience there for several years. It's about a club, not one of the five biggest European leagues, but it'll be a good place to create experience. I have to see if I like it, if I feel good about this role and then I'm gonna decide to go to a bigger club. I'm aiming for sports direction, or in general general direction in football”.

Which team will you support, OM or Lazio, in confronting them?

There is no uncertainty in this regard. I am and will remain a great supporter of OM (Olympique Marseille!)

What memories of your four seasons in Rome?

Lazio is the club where I've stayed longer. My first year was very difficult because I arrived on a team that was doing well and began playing regularly in late November. I've had my first major injury there, I've stayed out of the field for two months. I came back, I managed to make a good seasonal end. The second year was very good. We had a positive presentation in the European Cup and won the Italian Cup (in 2013).

This Italian Cup thing was a historic success, because it was the first time they played Lazio and Rome in the finals... The third season was more complicated for the team, while the last went very well, with a third place in the ranking. I played mostly as a central defender and we ended the season as one of the best defendings in the championship. I've had discounts and ups, big times and harder. But in the end, there's a place I'm attached to. I didn't know my wife would be there, too, in Rome.

What do you remember from this trophy, the winning of Italy's Cup against Rome?

It was a historic moment. Lazio's supporters say: There can be no revenge. The winning team remains in history. This has happened and nothing can erase it unless the champion title is played in a final match between the two Roman teams, or the final European Cup.

You've experienced the rivalry between OM and SPG, how would you describe it between Lazio and Rome?

Rivalry is superior to Rome's derby, it's installed in the city and you feel it every day. On Marseilles, everyone supports the OM. Classic Against The PSG is listed in the calendar, remains important, but we didn't talk about it until the match approaches. In Rome, we talked about derby all year long. I have experienced this in Istanbul, with the derby of Galatasaray-Fenerbahce, but Rome's is even more important and intense. Rome is a city where you can stand quietly, unlike Naples or Marseilles, where people are always behind you.

A word for your former Italian club, as such...

Lazio is a historic club, even if her power cannot match Juventu's, two clubs in Milan, or Naples. But for ten years, Lazio is almost always in the European Cups, even if he fails to qualify for the Champions League. Before I left, Lazio finished fifth, but Italy was represented only by four teams in Champions. In my first season, the series A lost another representation in Champions and Lazio finished fourth. In spite of that, Lazio remains a major Italian championship club, with very fervent supporters. In 2000, the club did everything to become champion and shined into the European Cups, with a super-terranean subx0> team <x0). At the end of that season, however, it was proved that Lazio was looking for something beyond her reach.

How is President Claude Lotto?

He knows where he wants to go and, even though many fans oppose it, he deserves Lazio's recovery. Lottito may be incorrect in his way of doing things, or how to express himself, but he has results, and that credit belongs only to him.

What is your view of dealing with the OM?

Italian media called to get my opinion on this match. I think OM has complicated its life, losing its first home game (1-2 against Eint Frankfurt) and not winning Cyprus (2-2 against Apollo Limassol). Now, OM faces an opponent who, in my opinion, is stronger than the other two clubs. In this group, I remain a supporter of OM. The idea for me would be for Marseilles and Lazio to qualify, but it would be very difficult. OM has to take at least four points against Lazio, but the Romans are performing well, have a good-shaped attacker, like Ciro Immobile.

What do you think of midfielder Sergey Milinkovic-Savic?

He had two excellent seasons, after a year of adaptation to Italian football. Last season was really a big player. This year is his confirmation because he is not yet working at full speed. He has a fantastic leg compared to body size. I thought he was gonna leave this summer, but Lazio managed to keep it. She wants to give herself the right tools to qualify for the Champions League.

Where can the OM reach?

The great goal of the OM is to end up on the podium, to target the Champutions, but I don't know what priority the club will have in “Europepa League”. Marseille has to play a lot and she's got the team to beat Lazie.

Will you be in “Veodrome” this Thursday?

I wanted to be there, but I have a charity activity with my foundation that day in Tirana. Unfortunately, I won't be able to be there. But the leaders of Lazio have included me in the rematch protocol, invited me, so I will be in Rome on November 8th. I'm going to attend the official luncheon between two teams, then I'll watch the game.

What are you currently working on?

I run a foundation of public interest, promoting sport and culture to young people in Tirana, where I am located until next year. Besides, I'm going to start a career as head of a club where I get experience for a few years.

Why not return in the future with a leading role at the OM?

I would love to...

Can you tell us more about your future?

I started negotiations on buying a club, but I can't talk about it yet. This is a club that is not part of one of the five biggest European leagues, but will be a good place to create experience. I have to see if I like it if I feel good about this role and if I can think about going to a bigger club. Rather, it is aimed at sports, or in general, general direction. To train, I was never attracted. Direction, I really care.

Do you have anything else to add?

Come on!
