Based on financial statements issued by the Ministry of Finance, which date 13 September, none of these bills will precede spending increases for KSF is implementing three new laws.
Even compared to last year when the Force received a budget increase of nearly 3m euros, in 2019 its budget will remain the same as in the preceding year.
The KSF budget is 53m euros, but the government has not yet drafted the draft budget for 2019. After that, the Force's budget will be increased annually for 5m euros, where in 2021 the total budget will total 62m and 739 thousand euros.
General Kastrati has been one of those who worked on drafting the strategy for converting the KSF into the military in 2014, which envisions the Force reaching its full operational capacities in the 10th year of receiving military mandate.
