Renowned Kosovo analyst Agon Maliqi has made a post in his Facebook account, Periscopi writes.
He has attacked Vetevendosje Movement for its final stance on the status of its member, Donika Gashi, who had described homosexuality as a defeat of homosexuality by opposing the Crenare Parade, which was held in Pristina in Pristina.
Maliqi has said that the “to be left means to play active emancipative role against any form of social oppression, whether class or identity” which, according to him, Vetevendosje is not playing.
He believes that tolerating homophobic through racism is a conservative fool. “The only thing that can be held together inside an umbrella,” writes Maliqi, “is the need for instrumentizing people” which leads to the ultimate goal being power rather than emancipation.
Full status:
To be left means to play an active emancipative role against any form of social oppression, whether class or identity. These forms of oppression usually stem from and are called into the logic of tradition - the grounds of conservative or fascist parties. How can the VV justify itself as a left when it tolerates as personal attitudes the scandalous statements of a member who calls sexual orientation freedom a work “mate”? So when you tolerate rationalization to homophobic through racism, a double burger of conservative stupidity. This not only has nothing to do with the left but is its extreme opposite. The only thing that can hold these two together inside an umbrella is the need for instrumentizing people, whether it be conservatives or left/liberals on the road to power. Which makes the question legitimate whether the ultimate goal is to emancipate or simply power.”/ Periscope
