Kosovo President Hashim Thaci has hosted Turkey's Foreign Affairs Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu's meeting today, with which he has talked about full co-operation between the two states.
President Thaci has thanked the Turkish minister for supporting the people and the state of Kosovo at all times. The meeting has also discussed the possibility of increasing trade exchange between the two countries as an opportunity for the dynamism of economic growth. President Thaci has stressed that Kosovo and Turkey have friendly relations and strategic co-operation and thanked for the support Turkey gives to the consolidation of the state of Kosovo in the world. “Today Turkey is a loyal supporter of the strengthening of Kosovo's international subjectivity, both in increasing recognitions and membership in international organisation”, he has said. According to President Thaci, Kosovo is grateful for the permanent support it receives from Turkey in all areas. Speaking of developments in the region, President Thaci has said Kosovo is seeking to reach peaceful agreements with Serbia, which will open European prospects for both countries. The agreement is in the interest of both countries”, he added.
Turkey's Foreign Affairs Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu has said Turkey supports sustainable peace efforts in the region and in this context commitment to reaching an agreement between Kosovo and Serbia. We will continue to support the state and the people of Kosovo”, said Minister Cavusoglu. The meeting also discussed expanding bilateral co-operation in the economy sectors and defence and security sectors.
