The European Parliament today is expected to begin creating a text of the report for Serbia, which is expected to include a compromise amendment to the correction of borders between Serbia and Kosovo, reports “Tanjug”.
“Whatever agreement can be acceptable as long as there is reconciliation of both sides and envisions the stability of the region and international law”, the text says.
In total, 239 amendments that were included in this year's report about Serbia, created by European Parliament rapporteur David McAllister, have been split into 27 compromise amendments, which can enter the final text.
Particularly important is the amendment to compromise with the constitutional number 25, which concerns the debate over possible correction of the borders between Serbia and Kosovo, including the topic of exchange of territories, broadcast news.
At the start of the text, which may enter as a final version of the European Parliament's reporting for Serbia, but Kosovo also mentions the past multiethnic “of Kosovo and Serbia”, as well as the fact that <x2 homogenous ethnic states should not be the target”.
Likewise, European representatives through the text of reporting around Serbia cite examples of all agreements reached so far between Belgrade and Pristina, particularly insisting on the formation of Serb majority municipalities.
