According to the organisation, Tetovo and Tuzla rely heavily on coal in the industry and home heating. High old gas emissions also significantly contribute to pollution, according to information.
The World Bank estimates that in Macedonia about 1,350 people annually lose their lives due to air pollution from small particles, while economic costs exceed 200m euros, Reuters reports.
