Daciq: Americans urged us to stop campaigning to attract Kosovo recognitions

Serbia has long launched a campaign to convince the states that have recognised Kosovo to annul the decision to recognise independence. Ivica Dacic has said his goal is for the number of recognitions, down from 116 registered from Kosovo, to be taken under 96.
But, Ivica Dacic Deputy Prime Minister and Serbia's foreign minister has said in a TV show in Serbia that Americans have asked him to stop this campaign with the reasoning that this way the Serb side is working against dialogue with Kosovo.
The American have asked us not to ask the states to withdraw recognition. This happened during a meeting in New York where I was with Prime Minister Ana Brnabiq” has said the chief of Serbian diplomacy.
Dacic has said his goal is that Kosovo, which has registered 116 states that have recognised it from most UN member states. Thus, Serbia aims to reduce this number to below 96, out of 192 UN member states.
