Kosovo citizens will pay more dearly for oil and gasoline derivatives, because their prices have been expensive in recent weeks for about 10 cents. The price hikes have caused resentment among citizens, as they say the price has been expensive. In the Kosovo Economic Ode, they declare that if prices continue to rise there will also be complaints from businesses in the country. While in the Consumer Protection Organization, they say this rise harms citizens, businesses and the state.
Oil and gasoline prices in Kosovo have recently increased for about 10 cents.
Currently, the price of derivatives in Kosovo ranges from 1.19 euros per oil, while for gasoline to 1.22.
And this price hikes have caused resentment among the country's citizens.
Citizen Naser Dervisolli says the prices of derivatives are expensive and are not reasonable compared to the countries of the region. It requires that prices be lowered because they are unaffordable to citizens.
Expensive “are (devotion prices). Oil is good, because we regularly get it from”, Dervisol declared.
The price hikes are emerging to have negatively affected businesses in the country as well.
In Kosovo's Economic Age, there have been no complaints from businesses so far, but say if price hikes continue, there will be complaints.
OEK-Ut director Berat Rukiqii has said that increasing the prices of derivatives depends on the price movement on international markets. Rukiqi claims that price hikes also affect businesses in the country, even though he says they have not had any complaints so far.
The price rise of derivatives depends on the movement of prices on international markets, and these movements depend on geopolitical situations. The political problems they have there also affect the increase in prices and in our market and affect the power of the general bead”, Rukiqi said.
But, he says, if these prices continue to be more expensive, there will be complaints from businesses. Until it says they have repeatedly demanded that the price of derivatives be affordable to citizens.
We don't have any complaints from businesses yet, since there is still no large increase in business responses, since oil is not the only factor affecting businesses. However, if the price keeps rising, there will surely be complaints from businesses. We've always demanded that the price of derivatives be affordable for business”, Rukiqi told Express.
The rising price of derivatives is severely opposed by the Consumer Protection Organisation. Ceatin Kachanic of this organisation has said that unfair games are being made at the price of derivatives.
Kachanic says this growth harms the economy, and destabilises the market.
“With the price of derivatives are playing dishonest games. The increase in derivative prices harm citizens, businesses and even the state, the economy in general, and destabilise the market and negatively impact”, Kacanic has said.
It claims that the quality and standard of citizens' living should also be taken into account for the price of derivatives.
The price must be on fair report with quality, bez and citizen payment capacity. Notably seen the price of derivatives in Kosovo is lower with some countries in the region, but compared to the quality and quantity we receive, I think we're being deceived”, Kachanic told Express.
Oilmen's representatives, meanwhile, have declared days before the rise of derivative prices has come as the cause of the international bell.
And we gas stations in Kosovo are businessmen. The price of bell and production organisation O PEK. In Kosovo prices behave 1. 19 euro 1.20... While one week is the same price on the Kosovo market. But we're not the ones that dictate the price, because we don't have a refinery... We in some form are businessmen, where the price is dictated by the supply, which we do from countries in the region, from Serbia, from Albania, from Macedonia and Greece”.
