International Criminal Court Mechanism chief prosecutor Serge Brammertz said today he does not know when the first indictments will be submitted to the KLA's alleged Special Crimes Tribunal committed in Kosovo.
“E knows that victims in Kosovo seek justice, but I fear this will delay”, Brammertz has said of “TV Prva”, asked whether he is surprised by the fact that the KLA's alleged war crimes tribunal has not filed any charges yet.
Brammertz added that he is not the spokesman for this court and has remembered that a prosecutor has only resigned.
This is the new guy I've met with, started work, but I don't know when the first charges will come up. One thing I can say is that we cooperate as a whole. But it is up to them when they will file pre-”, he added, broadcasts Koha.net.
Chief Prosecutor Brammertz has said it is difficult to conduct international investigations, especially if you are in The Hague, while you should be in Kosovo.
“Witness protection, protection, evidence insurance, all this takes a long time”, Brammertz said.
