He has said that a political solution must be found for this process.
Stoltenberg in an interview for Serbian media TV Pink, has stressed that NATO has excellent reports with Serbia and respects its decision not to be a member of that alliance.
We strongly support dialogue between Pristina and Belgrade, as well as all efforts leading to reduced tensions and resolving misunderstandings. We need a political solution. This dialogue is closely conveyed by the European Union and NATO has been part of the initiative that has led to this dialogue. We continue to follow through and support the dialogue”, Stoltengerb said.
For the Serbian state's decision not to be part of NATO, Stoltenberg has said: “We respect any decision by a sovereign state whether to enter NATO or not. We have excellent reports with Serbia and we respect their decision not to be NATO members, but we want to be partners. This is good for Serbia, good for Serbia NATO”
