Terry had been without a club since 2017/2018, when he was released from Aston Villa. He had reached agreement on the transfer to Spartak Moscow, but on family matters he landed in Russia.

He's already reportedly reached agreement with Aston Wilan and will be Thierry Henry's assistant to the team that competes in Champship.
