Bulliqi: Serbia has manipulated cadastres around border

The entire border demarcation process between Kosovo and Serbia will not be supported exclusively in the cadastre, Bulliqi has warned. Bulliqi legalises geography at Pristina University and is chairman of the Commission for marking and maintaining the state border. In the past term, he was LDK deputy, the party that led Government. Nevertheless, it was one of the protagonists who opposed the border agreement with Montenegro, signed by the Government of that mandate, writes Koha Ditore today.
In an interview for “Kahen Ditore”, he has said the agreement based solely on the cadastra had rightly been criticised. Now expected to lead the border demarcation process with Serbia, it has pledged that the preliminary commission's mistakes would not be made. According to him, all internationally recognised criteria related to demarcation will be used in this process.
The fact that Serbia has robbed Kosovo's cadastre may have brought difficulties, because it may have manipulated it, which is feared it has already done so”, he has said. “Under no circumstances should we accept the changes made by Serbia during the occupation and after the liberation of Kosovo, whether they are changes within Kosovo or even along the Kosovo-Serbia border, as we should not accept even the potential fraud made by Serbia towards the international factor, if it has already made them during the 1999-x3> military technical agreement.
In this interview, Bulqi has been talking about preparations the Commission has so far made regarding demarcation of the border with the northern neighbour, the conflicting points identified so far, and even about identifying the localities that Kosovo and Serbia had exchanged during 1947-1959. He has also described at short points where Kosovo's border with Serbia crosses.
