Aulon Zeka's family seeks higher punishment for killing their son

The Constitutional Court in Pristina has found three minors guilty of killing 16-year-old Aulon Zeka.
The court's ruling on three minors was different, where G.H. was sentenced to prison for nine years and six months, the minor R.G., for three years, while minor L.L.l. was pronounced a one-year sentence of six months.
The lawyer of the late Zeka family, Skender Musa for Indexline, has said the judicial process has been in line with legal provisions, but that they have expected maximum sentences.
The judicial process has been developed in accordance with the legal provisions, but we have expected maximum sentences, in light of the weight of the criminal offence, the consequences of the results, and no repentance of minors, and no apology for the infant's murder”, Musa said.
Asked how the family has expected this decision, the lawyer Musa has said they have expected a high-profile criminal sanctions, in view of the murder.
He has added that he will only file complaints regarding criminal sanctions.
“Yes, we will only file complaints regarding criminal sanctions”, attorney Musa stressed.
While adding that they have been satisfied with the procedure in the first degree.
“Family is afraid of manipulation of the process, but has been satisfied with the procedure in the first instance. For criminal sanctions, meanwhile, there are expectations that it will be the highest”, attorney Skender Musa has said, among other things.
Otherwise, minor G.H., the detention measure has continued until the integrity of the act. The case against minors G.H., R.G., and L.L., was in the retrial.
Aulon Zeka was killed on September 16th 2017 in Pristina.
