US President Donald Trump is interested in resolving the dispute about Kosovo, says Republican Senator and Senate Under-United Council for Europe Chairman Ron Johnson.
He has confirmed the Voice of America that the return to American politics is clear to reaching agreement between Kosovo and Serbia, as well as that President Trump is personally interested in resolving this issue.
“Yes. This administration is interested in this. Three times I've travelled to the Balkans because that's why Deputy Secretary of State Wes Mitchell has encouraged me. People in Kosovo and Serbia should be sure that this administration, Senate and Congress are interested in helping reach the agreement. You know, President Trump has a slightly different approach to solving certain issues, he thinks outside certain frames. But we remember how important it is for the Balkans to stabilise”, Johnson says.
