“Absurd to pretend that Kosovo is Serbia reality says otherwise”

British diplomat Robert Cooper, once former mediator of dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, has said it is absurd to say that Kosovo is part of Serbia, when the situation in reality is completely different.

He has said that dialogue has succeeded, but blames Brussels for failing to insist on implementing agreements reached by both sides, broadcast Indexline.

Cooper has expressed uncertainty whether the Serbian Communist Community will be included in reaching the agreement on normalisation of relations.

But, I don't think that the idea of association is bad, Serbs are minority in Kosovo, and perhaps they would feel comfortable”, Cooper added.

He does not think the EU has changed its position when it comes to exchange of territories, but that Brussels is still considering a number of unresolved options./
