Over 300 thousand Kosovo citizens exploit e-banking

The Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo, (BQK), has announced that bank accounts e-banking through which banking services are carried out via, have continued to increase.
In December 2017 the total number of E-banking accounts was 301.8 thousand, marking annual growth of 30.7 percent. Also, the number and volume of transactions through E-banking service has increased. The total number of transactions carried out through E-banking accounts during 2017 reached 3.4 million, an annual increase of 16.9 percent, while the value of total transactions carried out through the E-banking accounts amounted to 8.5 billion euros, representing an annual increase of 26.6 per cent”, says the BQC report.
According to the CEC, the E-banking account structure continues to be dominated by residential accounts with a 98.2 per cent turnout, RTKlive reports.
“Under residential accounts, individual bank accounts account for 82.5 per cent of the total account, while the remaining 17.5 per cent of business accounts. Similarly, the account structure of non-residents is dominated by individual accounts with a turnout of 91.8 percent, while business accounts have an 8.2 percent share, the CEC report says.
