Let's Do It Kosova Executive Director Luan Hasanaj has said that spaces around Batlava Lake are in poor condition, despite being cleared several times.
We're not agreeing to this situation, and we're trying to come and clean up here for the same time. The main purpose of all this is to provoke debate and try to show citizens that we have to be more careful, more aware, that we have to preserve this space, that we have to preserve the environment where we live because it's a place we all use. If we damage it and we create it like this here, I don't know what the future holds for us and the generations that come from”, Hasanaj said.
He has said that they are striving to place seats and baskets at Lake Batlava, broadcast Koha.net.
We've also called on the residents to be with us today, unfortunately few answers from them, but we'll continue this way. We're gonna try to get a few more seats in here, try to get some more baskets, not just here, but in the entire Batala Lake”, Hasanaj said further.
Today's event is organised in co-operation with the local Task Force of the Podujevo municipality, which is founded under the “Field. Clear Kosovo”. Volunteers from the Nongovernmental Organisation “also participated Democracy Rule”
The deputy chairman of the Podujevo municipality promised that shares like this will continue through the entire campaign today.
These guys don't do this job for themselves, but they do it for the community. We as local administration, as local government, have responded to continue activities under the action to clean Kosovo, which, while officially closing on December 15th, we as a municipality will continue with other organisations and Governments, to create better, healthier, more acceptable environment for our population”, he said.
The company “Natira” has been engaged in today's action at Lake Batislava with excavers and trucks to evacuate waste.
Let's Do It Kosova reports that activities initiated since September 15th under the “Field. Clearing Kosovo” will continue until 15 December, when this campaign funded by the Government of Kosovo is scheduled to end, while implemented by Lettés Do It Kosova.
