After years of dominance on the car market, Toyota finished third in production the following year.
According to data from the first 11 months of 2017, before Toyota, which produced 9.47 million vehicles, were the Renault alliance -Nissan-Mitsubishi with 9.6 million and the Volkswagen group with 9.74 million vehicles.
Toyota added the sale of her automobiles for 2.8 percent compared to 2016, but its most powerful U.S. market marked stagnation.
On the other hand, Renault's new coalition, Nissan and Mitsubishi, has progressed thanks to increased sales worldwide, despite Nissan's problems in Japan due to scandal with unqualified contractors for final tests.
Meanwhile, the VW group marked growth in the markets of Europe and China, producing 3.9 percent more vehicles compared to the same period in 2016. Last year, the VW ended the four-year domination of Toyota, even though only a year ago was hit by a massive fraud scandal with tests on harmful gases emissions.
Toyota for 2017 predicted the sale of 100,000 vehicles more than a year ago for a record 10.35 million units.
