Thaci numbers Vuciq's visit as success, urges historic agreement with Serbia

Kosovo President Hashim Thaci has calculated success in visiting President Aleksandar Vuciq without incident in Kosovo.

Thaci, on a Facebook note, writes that <x0 this civilising and tolerant behavior testifies to our civic and state maturity”, writes Periscope.

“Disfellowshipping some of the populist statements, which are almost inevitable in such visits, the visit of the counterpart from Serbia was concluded without any incident. This civilizing and tolerant behavior testifies to our civic and state maturity. Tolerance and understanding should remain guiding principles even when interstate relations are being questioned in our region”, the president wrote.

Thaci says Kosovo will continue to be committed to dialogue with Belgrade for normalising interstate relations until a historic agreement on peace and reconciliation is reached.

“Based on these principles, the Republic of Kosovo will continue with dedication the dialogue on normalising interstate relations until the historic agreement on peace and reconciliation is reached. Such an agreement is necessary because it brings clear prospects for Euro-Atlantic integration for both states”, he wrote.

Thaci says he is pleased that his Serbian counterpart, during his stay in the Republic of Kosovo, has repeatedly stressed the importance of dialogue as the only way for normalisation and reconciliation.

Therefore, I believe that soon we will continue interstate dialogue at the highest political level, mediated by the EU and strongly supported by the US”, Thaci wrote. /Periscopi/
