According to Culture and Tourism Ministry information in the past ten years, the Turkish film industry has marked an important step by ranking the second most profitable business in Turkey.
According to the Turkish ministry, Turkish series are currently being watched in more than 140 countries.
Proceeds have profits due to the show of series in the United States, Russia, the Balkan Peninsula, the Middle East, the Far East and Latin America have been watched by millions.
Turkish media report that last year about 300m euros has won Turkey's cinematographic industry due to the sale of television rights.
“Addınını Feriha Koydum”, “Silver”, “Fatmagun Sucu Ne”, “Ezel” and “Kara Sevda” are among the most exported series so far, according to information from the Directorate General of Cinema in Turkey.
Yusuf Gursoy, one of the producers of Turkish series, noted that the serial sector “is showing a remarkable development especially since 2010”, while their aim is to reach the number of one billion euros by 2030.
We stress that some of the series have already appeared on television screens in Kosovo and Albania.
