The Kosovo Journalists' Association, (AGK), has endured criticism of television editorialism “TV Most”, in Zvecan for use of hate language in the article “putiptarski the terrorist expector Mark {uri\x4>.
“TV Most” has published a brief article in the evening news of January 28th 2018 about marking several graphs at an elementary school in the village of Ugljare, located in the vicinity of Fushe Kosovo, where children of the Serb community attend the lesson.
Then, on the portal of this television, the term “is used Syptar”, which is offensive to Albanians and which explains some other details of this incident, titled “ “)iptarski Prestary terrorist Mark dealtriúru” (Albanian terrorists threaten Marko Djurovic).
Also, this medium violated the ethical code using also the term <x0-terrorist”, naming itself this medium that the case in question has to do with terrorism.
TV Most has used the source of information from another medium for this event, Radio KiM in this case, but it is evident that the offensive title has been of this television editorial.
AGK considers that TV Most using this offensive term for Albanians has broken not only ethical standards but also international norms that prohibit hate and discrimination language.
The AGK reminds media in Kosovo that hate speech is a criminal offence, which is sanctioned with the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo.
