Serbian Minister: What is Jerusalem to Jews, so is Kosovo to Serbs

Belgrade has no more national issues for Serbs and Serbia than Kosovo, nor is there more important efforts to keep Kosovo within Serbia.

So said Minister for Technological Innovation and Development of Serbia Nenad Popovic, writes Periscopi.

He has said that “what is Jerusalem for Jews, so is Kosovo for Serbs”.

The only states that have protected and protect their territory, that protect their nation and their dignity, as well as their power and confidence, have been respected, and have also been economically strong”, Popovic said.

In an authorial writing to the Serbian weekly “Vreme”, Popovic cited Russia as an example of a state that was in the same position as Serbia when he defended the right on Chechnya, then mentioned Israel's case with Jerusalem, China and its right to Taiwan and Hong Kong.

Israel, as it has written, has an open territorial dispute, but the conflict does not prevent it from marking economic growth.

It's a country of about 8 million people, but with a GDP of $320 billion, Popovic wrote, writes Periscope.

We can never stop Serbia from being Serbia, because neither we who live with the Kosovo problem have done it, nor do we have the right to leave the next generations without Kosovo”, Popovic said. /Periscopi/
