Today in front of his party office in northern Mitrovica, Serb SDP leader Oliver Ivanovic has been killed. Material evidence of this murder of the law organs so far has only burned car, which has been found not far from the scene.
While conspiracys have broken out about who could have killed Ivanovic, who was sentenced to 9 years in prison for war crimes against Albanian civilians, it is known that he was not even wanted for Serbia's Government.
In fact, Serbia's government called in the 2017 elections not to vote on Ivanoviqi, saying that the vote for him meant voting against the Serbian state's organic connection with Kosovo Serbs, writes Periscopi.
“If you vote Oliver Ivanoviqi, vote for the destruction of Serbia's unity in Kosovo, and clearly, vote against the Serbian state's organic connection with the Serbian province's”, the government's statement said.
Ivanovic was named one of the moderate Serbian politicians, due to his co-operation with the internationals, despite his being convicted of war crimes. /Periscopi/
