Unresolved political issues in the country are constantly hindering the formation of the Kosovo Army, which has long ago fulfilled all its operational and willing capacities to assume the security duties belonging to an army.
After a period of 10 years of the Kosovo Armed Forces, they will have 5,000 active members and 3,000 reserve members. But even after that, it will remain the force with fewer members compared to the countries in the region.
Meanwhile, in terms of salaries, the KSF is estimated to be the first, because the lowest salary is higher than the Albanian and Serbian Army.
The Ministry of Security Force in an answer to Indexline has provided details of the salaries of its members, depending on military degrees.
The monthly wage of a soldier is 405.90m gross, while the highest officer is 1,602.15th gross without including the work experience, which is estimated: 1 year of service with 0.5% of the base wage”, the MNSF says in response.
Meanwhile, according to the publication of the Albanian Army's salary report according to local media, the military's monthly payment starts from 44.870 lek, or 358.05 euros, writes Indexline.
As far as wages are concerned, the Serbian Army is located at a lower level.
According to an article published by Serbian media Novosti.rs, the salary of a professional soldier starts from 31,000 dinars or converting to 261.94 euros.
This, they say, shows the most frequent reasons for abandoning professional military service.
In recent years, Serbia's Armed Forces uniform has given up 800 soldiers, as well as dozens of officers.
The most frequent reason for contract cuts is the poor status of employees in the defence system.
