Prisoners are almost all men, 95.8% of the total, a quarter (25.9%) are toxicists, while one third -- 18 621 persons -- 34.1% of prisoners -- are foreigners.
In the foreign rankings, the first place is occupied by the Moroccans, with 17.6%, followed by Romanians (14.6%) and Albanians, with 13% of the number of foreign prisoners in Italy.
