Ramiz Kelmendi speaks of the charge of power theft: After seven years I learned that I am accused

LDK MP Ramiz Kelmendi rejected accusations brought by the Prosecutor for the theft of electricity.

The Constitutional Prosecutor in Pristina has filed charges against Kelmendi, owner of the company “ETC” after a check by KEK workers at the “Elkos” company in 2011, has been noted that “with the intention of stealing has unauthorizedly used electrical power”.

But Kelmendi, told KALLXO.com that the timing of the indictment, he had no responsibility for the company.

“This is the process actually not okay, because the country when it happened in 2011 when I was an MP and as an MP I am relieved of all the functions and executive responsibilities in the company”, Kelmendi said.

The former Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister added that the <x0 persones responsible for the facility are registered in the Ministry of Industry and Trade and have the name and surname and are responsible for the events that occur in their facility, regardless of what happened to”.

I learned after seven years that I am accused and invited directly to the court, without days that I have been charged at all, nor has the prosecutor, although the prosecutor himself says he is not legal to you because you are the owner and not the person responsible”, Ramiz Kelmendi said.

He said he would not engage any lawyers to defend the case against him, since, as stated, the law has enabled the company's responsibilities to be released.

“If it had turned out that I as the owner forced someone to do such an act then certainly the responsibility falls on me, as well as if I in 2011 paid 700,000 euros in state tax I have no reason to reduce expenses when expenses have always dropped from profit”, he said.

I have no reason to take such actions”, Kelmendi underlined.
