In a speech Friday aimed at seducing investors in the Filipino, Duterte said Indian businessmen need “to avoid Mindaot” because “ka still a military law there”, referring to the southern island of the Philippines, where Muslim army rebels are fighting against government forces.
Duterte was on a three - day visit to the capital of India to attend a regional meeting of the South Asian Nations Association. He also attended the Republic Day celebration.
The next “Vet if you die as a martyr, the 42 virgins will wait,” said Duterte, reports “Al Jazeera”, the Periscope broadcast.
“Well, if I can do such a thing may also be for those who wish to go to my country”, he said, inciting laughter from the audience.
