The second day of Kosovo's foreign minister's visit and first deputy prime minister, Behgjet Pacolli, has invited Italian companies to areas such as textiles, etc., to open their factories in Kosovo, along with Albania and other countries in the region, given a new population and prepared labour arm.
Pacolli started with one morning's work with Licia Mattioli, vice president of internationalisation, and Camilla Cionini Visani, director of International Affairs, Konfindustria.
The Konfindustria is the largest Italian business organization to group approximately 150,000 companies from sectors such as industry, services, trade, etc., with nearly 4.5 million engaged.
During the work conversation, the number two of Kosovo's government recognised co-operation with Kosovo's highly favourable legislation for entrepreneurs in general and those in particular Italians.
Foreign Minister Pacolli described the business environment established in the country as one of the most dynamics thanks to reforms undertaken in various sectors, making Kosovo into the world's top 10 reformers.
On the other hand, he invited Italian companies in fields such as textiles, etc, to open their factories in Kosovo as well as Albania and other countries in the region, given a new population and prepared labour arm. He invited Italian companies to assist Kosovo, with projects, putting in motion the numerous funds, which the European Union offers for Kosovo.
According to a communique of the Jahstme Ministry of Affairs, the number two of the Konfindustri, introduced the interest of Kosovo deputy prime minister to companies participating in the association, which it runs for new markets.
The contractor has companies coming from 22 mining sectors, to fashion, metal processing, etc. The opening of this association's branches in countries in the region is on Konfindustria plans.
Speaking of the Kosovo food market and the region, Minister Pacolli said: “We import a billion euros of food products from Serbia, and we are interested, that Italy increase its presence on our market with its wonderful products. For this reason, we are interested in creating agro-food platforms for the whole region in Kosovo, with the engagement of Italian best brand companies”.
