Minister of Justice: We don't let Serbia get involved in Ivanovic assassination investigations

Kosovo will not allow Serbia to be involved in investigations into Oliver Ivanovic's murder. So said Justice Minister Abelard Tahiri. He has said he is willing to co-operate with Serbia over the case, but not for full involvement in investigations.

Justice Minister Abelard Tahiri has confirmed that Serbia will receive answers today regarding their request for involvement in the investigation into the murder of Oliver Ivanovic.

He has said that Kosovo under no circumstances will allow any involvement in investigations of any other institution, except those of the Republic of Kosovo.

Minister Tahiri also stated that Kosovo Police and the Kosovo Prosecutor will handle these investigations.

“We will also accept information from Serbia leading to the capture of authors, but not its involvement in investigations. We only do them at”, the minister said to Tahiri for Express.

In a joint statement by the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, it is reiterated that the act of killing Serbian politician from Kosovo, Oliver Ivanovic, is absolutely unacceptable and unacceptable, so such acts deserve an immediate response.

“The justice ministry is open to mutual judicial co-operation and welcomes the willingness of the institutions of the Republic of Serbia to provide judicial assistance through exchange of information that could contribute to the swiftest settlement of the case, simultaneously by not violating in any circumstances the developments of the investigative procedure and ensuring the jurisdiction of the Republic of Kosovo in the development of investigations into the case”, it is said in the joint statement of the two ministries.
