Kosovo due to specials risks worsening reports even with European Parliament

Inconsistencies and conflicting positions about the Special Court ruling in Kosovo in recent days have also been held at the fourth rotating meeting of the Stabilisation and Association Commission, which is an interparmentary delegation of the Kosovo Parliament and the European Parliament. This theme is said to have dominated the effort to issue a joint declaration [...]
But this time precisely reference to the need for co-operation with this tribunal on the part of Kosovo authorities has been the applet of the quarrel that has caused such a declaration to be not adopted for the first time. For such a thing, unity and clarity within the Kosovo Assembly delegation, whose chief, in the quality of co-chairman of the interparliamentary Commission, has been Memli Krasniqi from the PDK.
MEPs have not wanted to have statements where the Special Court and the need for the Kosovo authorities' co-operation with it would not be mentioned clearly. For the European Parliament, this court is already part of Kosovo's laws and co-operation with it is a legal obligation of Kosovo, which also relates to rule of law and obligations to international partners.
“Co-chairmen express regret that it has not been possible to adopt common statements and recommendations due to the lack of reconciliation on the issue of specialised rooms and recent initiatives in the Kosovo Assembly in this direction. However, it has voiced hope that this point of disagreement will be exceeded in the coming weeks and months and will have no effect on furthering the very good reports between the two parliaments”, said the written communiqué sent by the European Parliament.
