Kosovo police under operational command “Stop the drugs in school” over a week, initiated 17 cases and arrested 26 suspected persons, but also confiscated 62.44 grams of marijuana, 0.5 grams of cocaine and a gun.
According to police, from January 15th to January 21st, throughout the territory of the Republic of Kosovo, have carried out patrols and visits to schools and around them, conducted lectures at schools, arrested suspected persons, confiscated narcotics drugs, and so on.
“Police targets that were developed during the week, under the implementation of tasks stemming from operational command “Stop the drugs at the school” are like the following: 746 visits and contact with school personnel were conducted, 1205 school patrols were conducted, 1228 persons were checked, 593 cars were searched, 37 locals were checked, 8 lectures were held in different schools, 17 cases were initiated and 26 suspected persons were arrested and 62.44 grams of marijuana, 0.5 grams of cocaine and a”, said the communiques.
Police say it remains committed to fighting any activity that conflicts with the country's laws, including uncompetitive fight against narcotics use, with particular emphasis on and around educational objects
