The name of the controversial Kosovo Police investigator Fadil Sylevics was mentioned last night in an interview by the sentenced for murder, Shkumbi Mehmeti, who spoke of post-war killings in Kosovo. Mehmeti accused Sylevqi of ordering several murders during the time when their criminal group was operating. Police investigator has been talking about the Express about these allegations.
Shkumbin Mehmeti, sentenced to 30 years in prison for murder, confessed last night to the criminal group's activities, which he himself belonged to, showing the worst post-war criminal killings, including political killings.
In the interview, Mehmet mentioned names that he said ordered the postwar killings, he also mentioned the name of police officer Fadil Sylevi.
“Polici Fadil Sylevqi is involved in many murders”, Mehmeti said February, not specifically in which.
Express has talked to Kosovo Police investigator Sylevcin on Friday, who said he has not expected any congratulations from Mehmet. Sylevqi says it was the very one who interrupted the criminal group's activity, arresting Shkumbin Mehmeti.
He wanted Baton Haxhiu to ask who arrested you. Maspar, I arrested that group. Then there were many prosecutors, many judges, and he was punished as a criminal, and he was guilty, and I don't know what he's talking about. It's very normal that he spoke about the bullshit fart”, said Fadil Syleviki, in an exclusive conversation about the Express Journal.
Sylevqi said Mehmet issued those statements to attack police who arrested him.
I even sent him to prison, normal, I don't expect him to send me heartfelt congratulations”, Sylevqi said.
Well, Baton should have asked him more questions, not enough. I arrested him on April 7th, I reported him to the prosecutor, who then prosecuted and convicted him, is his market, and for that, I don't expect him to congratulate me on anything, except to speak such things about me” he added.
Otherwise, Shumbin Mehmet is sentenced to 30 years in prison for killing UNMIK police officers in 2004.
