Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj has indicated that 86 per cent of the energy needs in the country are met from production in KEK, and according to this situation in Kosovo is stable.
He during a visit he made to KEK, has said he will face the situation during the winter.
“Today, production meets some 86 percent, as the director of the country's energy needs said, is understood at night in certain cases of excess - the situation is considered sustainable. I also want to express thanks to all colleagues at all KEK levels, but not only at KEK from the director of all others for a maximum commitment to having such a stable situation. Granted, there are certain cases of power outages, and we are keeping our attention there, we are in constant communication with the operator with KED, in some cases the explanations are technical decay, in other cases there are other reasons. But, we will continue to convey the situation, once again we can say that the situation will be faced during the winter with the possibility of improving”, Haradinaj said.
The head of the Kosovo government has said there is enough energy, but, according to him, in some cases, capacity, distribution network and other problems are leading to reductions.
“Energy exists, there is energy for offering, in some cases capacity, distribution network and other problems are creating this. There's a dynamic investment plan in the network that is envisioned for KED, I'm convinced that these investment dynamics are several million, tens of millions have come three years, and I'm going to include it this year, so we have to work right away on improving time so that we can at least answer the moment for the next winter, so don't repeat every single winter the same situation. At this winter we have kept our guard on non-stop communications and KEDs, all of the evolutionian, so that there will be no reductions, and we are aware that at the time of the peak, so when it is evening that there are reductions and we are forwarding these”, he said.
While Haradinaj has also spoken about what has been reported that some houses in the villages of Hade and Shippitule that were built after 2015 will not be compensated, where the prime minister said every house will be compensated.
Meanwhile, KEK director Arben Djuka said they are currently supplying over 87 per cent of local consumption.
During all this time, we have been in co-ordination without interruption, when I say over 24 hours and, above all, I informed the country's prime minister about the ongoing steps of completing this process. I announced that we are currently supplying over 87 per cent of local consumption, have stabilised the removal of the sweat and coal, we have secured a stability in terms of the conformal operating standards and licenses we have for the” mine, he said.
During the day, Prime Minister Haradinaj has also visited the municipality of Obilic.
