Government aims to lower unemployment by 20m euros in investment

In the next three years (2018-2020) Kosovo's government plans to invest nearly 20m euros for a reduction in the country's unemployment rate. Of these means from Kosovo's budget is meant to allocate 10,252,400 euros, while donors are scheduled to receive 9.973,100 euros.
These figures are provided in the draft programme for reforms in the economy, where one of the first measures is to increase youth and women's access to the labour market, reportedly through the delivery of quality employment services, active employment and entrepreneurship measures, writes today “Koha Ditore”.
According to this draft programme, these measures are aimed at improving the capacities of public employment services for job seekers, unemployed and employers, through full functioning of the Republic of Kosovo employment agency, as well as providing quality employment assistance services and professional skills.
Enhancing active measures on the job market, such as public work, subsidizing wages, self - employment, promoting entrepreneurship, working practices, or training at work, are also said to be aimed.
