The former German commander, Gerhard Schroeder, will marry next autumn, his South Korean partner Kim So Yeon.
So far no further details have been disclosed about the wedding ceremony.
Kim, 48, has confirmed the wedding plans, but has not provided further details about the ceremony.
The former Social Democrats' leader, 73, announced earlier that he and his partner are scheduled to live between Germany and South Korea.
Schroeder stated that he had planned to learn to speak Korean better and to make a normal <x0-life” in the country.
This is his fifth marriage. He has two children with his ex-wife, Doris Schroeder-Kepf.
