For years it is known that several mafia structures have flourished, the press in German for the murder of Oliver Ivanovic writes.
“Death in the Balkan Mafia raid”, the title text in the famous Zeitung and in Frankfurter Allegyne.
The paper says Ivanovic was a “a pragmatist, moderate when others played the fire of national hysteria and myth”, reports “b92”, Periscopi broadcast.
It is clear that Ivanovic, with his unintentional approach to the reality of Kosovo, created many enemies”, says journalist Mihael Martens:
“In the nationalist Albanian elites in Pristina, Ivanovic was spotted because in the most peaceful manner he has argued it represented the rights of the Serb minority in Kosovo. (...) Serbian nationalists were unaware of the fact that he was quick to recognise the reality of Kosovo's independence. The widespread torture slogans for eternal Kosovo and the Holy Land of Kosovo, scattered by Kosovo's own heroes from Belgrade, were unacceptable to it. But he had enemies and in Kosovo's international supervisory authorities, which was ten years after the declaration of independence, which has not been recognised by all EU countries. So he did not stop from direct criticism of foreigners because of wrong developments and political turmoil. ”
Frankfurt's letter further states that in its interviews in recent months, Ivanoviqi himself made it clear that Serbs in northern Kosovo are not afraid of Albanians than other Serbs, local criminals and jeeps without sign of registration.
The threats, they added, became more intense after he decided to enter the political race for the mayoral post against a candidate supported by Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq.
<x0vanovovic was not held to bring Vuciqi into direct contact with the mafia in Mitrovica, but he was talking a lot about the <x1 criminal structures related to politics. ”
The mafia murders belong to the daily life of Balkan countries, in Belgrade, Pristina and Tirana, as in Sofia or Skopje. But this murder is probably politically motivated,” writes “Sunday Spiegel” in an online publication.
Ivanovic's “assassination is in the midst of a very critical political situation. Serbian-Kosovo relations are at the lowest point in recent years. (...) Only Kosovo, politically, economically and socially, weeks before the 10th anniversary of the declaration of independence, is at the end. ”/Periscopi/
