Foreign media are continuing to deal with developments occurring around the Special Court in Kosovo. EU Observer, an independent medium covering developments within the European Union, has given space to the QUINT State Declaration, which was released last night as an ultimatum against the abolition of the Special Court. It also mentions objections by President Thaci and Daut Haradinaj to the Special Court, saying that the very two will face charges.
“Daut Haradinaj and Thaci, both former KLA commanders are expected to face cases at the Displaced Kosovo Judiciary Institute” writes EU Observer, stressing that with objections being made to the Court, Kosovo's European future is at risk.
The EU has later reportedly established the Special Court to address charges against senior KLA officials who have been involved in trafficking the organs of Serb prisoners in the Kosovo war with Serbia during 1998 and 1999.
Eu Oobserver has broadcast Prime Minister Haradinaj's statement during yesterday's visit to Gjakova, where he said he has been against the Court until he was in opposition and that he is against it now.
His “brother, Daut Haradinaj, an MP, has gone further, saying last week that the first arrests of the Special Court will activate the former KLA ruler”, writes EU Observer.
President Hashim Thaci is also mentioned as part of this effort and his decision to forgive the Kicinna and Ramadan brothers.
