Singapore no longer has the most powerful passport in the world, as with its final ranking, Germany leads the list. The annual passport index “Henley” has published passport rankings according to the number of countries citizens can travel without visas. This is the fifth year that the European country tops the agenda of Schenley.
According to Business Insider, the ranking is based on data from the International Air Transport Association, which holds the world's largest and most comprehensive travel information base. German citizens can now visit 177 countries without visas.
In October, a special list of international rankings -- Global Power Passport -- named Singapore's passport the most powerful in the world.
But Germany has since recovered first place in that ranking, strengthening its position and leaving Singapore in second place.
As the third country is separated from Denmark, Finland, France, Italy, Japan, Norway, Sweden and the United Kingdom, whose citizens are free to travel to 175 countries.
Americans don't need visas in 173 countries. As for Balkan countries, Greece leads, where Greek citizens can freely move to 171 countries.
Bulgarian citizens can travel visa-free against 156 countries, while Serbia ranks 41st on the list, where its citizens can move freely to 119 countries.
Macedonia is ranked 46th, where Macedonians travel to 112 countries freely, followed by Montenegrins who are 48th and move visa-free to 110 countries.
Bosnia and Herzegovina holds 51st place, whose citizens move visa-free in 2015 countries.
While Albania ranks 52nd and Albanians can move freely in 100 countries.
Pakistan, Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan remain at the end of the ranking for the second consecutive year, where citizens of these countries have the right to move visa-free to less than 30 countries.
